Latest Training News 30/05/2021

We are expecting most of the Covid-19 restrictions to be lifted on June 21st 2021 which will be a great relief to many. The club committee are still very cautious especially with the Indian variant of Corvid-19 taken hold in several areas of the country. The current Kennel Club guideline is we can train indoors with 5 dog owners and one trainer and after each session sanitisation has to be carried out. Outdoor training we are currently allowed to have up to 30 people training bearing in mind social distancing. As you are aware a committee member and her husband have generously offered the use of their paddock for the outdoor training which has been going extremely well with the current restrictions.Moving forward with the training, the committee, in the current climate of the pandemic, feels more comfortable to continue with the external training. Therefore we will continue with this training on a Tuesday and a Sunday.

Tuesday ---- Beginners - 1.00pm, Class 2/3 - 2.00pm, Class 2/3 - 3.00pm

Sunday ----Class 2/3 - 10.00am, Class 2/3 - 11.00am, Beginners - 11.00am

We hope you will continue to support the club and attend a training session, use our Facebook page to show your interest and let us know which training session you would like to attend. Many thanks for your continued support.

Training

I hope you are all keeping safe.

If any of you are interested their are some good training videos online at : -

https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/help-advice/training-videos

These are very much food orientated. Our club do not rule out the use of food for training but your dog does  need to be weened off the tips as training progress, praise goes along way.

All clubs, groups and rescue charities which carry out training follow there own format for the training but all look for the same end result, a happy obedient trained dog. Keep training folks

GCGC Tests Oct 2022

On the 16th October 2022 we had the test, in total there were 10 bronze, 2 silver and 2 gold and brilliant news they all passed. Our judge was highly impressed as it is very rare that all competitors pass the tests and praised the club for the work they put in with the members prior to taken the tests.
